IT'S NOT MY STRENGTH, BUT HIS

PHILIPPIANS 4

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

WORKING FOR G-D'S GLORY

PHILIPPIANS 3

Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. 18For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. 20But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

ROMANS 12

1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

A NEW ATTITUDE

EPHESIANS 4

....But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why It (G-d) says:
When He ascended on high, He led captives to His train and gave gifts to men.
They are darkened in their thinking and separated from the life of G-d because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.
....given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
.....Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus....to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desire; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and put on the new self, created to be like G-d in true righteousness and holiness.
